Hello, community! We inch closer to the coveted date on October 28 for the release of Age of Empires IV! We have a LOT we are excited to share with you.

Starting next week, it’s going to be a civilization standoff. Each week for the next five weeks, we’ll be spotlighting two civilizations – sharing blog posts, GIFs, videos, and fun facts – in a rivalry-style countdown to the launch of Age of Empires IV!

Every Monday, we’ll share a link to a poll where you can cast your vote at any time during the week. Based on what you see throughout the week, you can vote for which civ you’d be more likely to pick in a match or your favorite of the two.

For the civ that gets more votes by Friday morning, we’ll show off their comprehensive Civ Overview video in a community stream that afternoon! (Don’t worry – we’ll still be showing the videos for the other civ at a later date.)

 

These community streams will be our way of staying in touch with you as we get closer to October 28, giving you a chance to watch the civs in action, hear from our Community and Developer teams, and connect with community members wanting to share the excitement of Age of Empires IV!

The streams will include:

• Civ Overview video: reveal of the community poll result
• 1v1 showmatch
• Guest appearances by Relic developers

Even more exciting, we’ll be doing giveaways during these streams – so tune in for a chance to win some goodies too!

• Official Age of Empires IV Companion Book (ship date: December)
• Xbox Game Pass for PC subscriptions
• Codes for Age of Empires IV swag at the Xbox Gear Shop
• A mix of codes for Age of Empires I: DE, Age of Empires II DE, or Age of Empires III DE
